To put it simply, Integrated Pest Management is an ecosystem-based strategy that focuses on long-term prevention of pests and pest-related damage. We do this with a combination of techniques, including:

surveillance
source reduction
control of all mosquito life stages
insecticide resistance testing

This means that we only use pesticides after careful monitoring indicates that they are needed and with the goal of removing only the target organism. In accordance with all guidelines and regulations, we select and apply pest control materials in a manner that minimizes risks to human health, beneficial and nontarget organisms (like pollinators), and the environment.

I have put a lot of work into my backyard and Mosquito Hero allows me to get maximum enjoyment out of my yard in the summer months.
